Don't Eat....
Chips or Crackers- Even ones that are supposedly healthy. Once you start on these crunchy snacks is really hard to stop. By the time your done you'll have eaten way more calories then you should have, and they are not to filling anyway.
Cookies- Duh, they are soooo delicious but most cookies are 200+ calories EACH!!! So not worth 15min on the optical
Ice Cream- Really adds up the calories quickly, if you have to buy some light ice cream and keep it to a minimum.
Soda- I was a complete soda addict for many many years, which is prob one of the big reasons I am so overweight. A single can of Coke contains at least 150cal. I could drink a whole liter a day for a while which I don't even want to know how much that was.
95% of Fast Food- Last year when I started really looking at what I was eating I found out really quickly that almost no fast food is good for you, even if you think its a better choice. Even places like Quizno's and Panera bread which have the appeal of being better for you are sadly not. Most subs at both these places contain more than half the daily calories and fat you supposed to have in the entire day. The only fast food choices that I have found so far that aren't to bad are as listed
Sub Way- Usually I get a foot long Turkey and Ham with extra tomato, spinach, cheddar cheese and very light Honey Mustard on 9 grain honey oat bread. ~600cal
Wendy's- Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich- ~370cal
Ruby Tuesdays- Top Sirloin with green beans instead of broccoli (broc doesn't sit well with me) and the mashed potatoes. Kinda a pricey meal but only has bout 600cal altogether or so they say.
Good Choices......
Eggs- I love eggs and eat more than I should. Egg lands best eggs are only 70cal each and keep me full longer than most breakfast items. I heard somewhere that if you eat a protein at the start of your day you end up burning more fat, so cant hurt right?
Instead of normal cold cereal for breakfast I find that oatmeal with skim milk or water is much more filling and satisfying. I always have more then one bowl of cold cereal and the servings are so small I end up consuming way more calories then I should.
